A NEW LIFE ON THE OUTSIDE!
Rafaqat and his wife Saba spent the last 3 years in slavery after taking a loan to pay for the medical care of their son Fahad. Unfortunately, Fahad died and this couple were left trapped in kiln slavery with their two sons, Danish and Vishal. Now thanks to Calvary VBS kids, this family is free! Rafaqat has a job in a factory to support the family and the boys will be able to attend school.

The smiles on their faces say it all. Aren't the boys gorgeous?!

**INSPIRING RESPONSE TO FAMILY AT RISK**
Thank you so much to our supporters for their rapid response! Within 12 hours of sharing about this family's situation, we received more than enough to set this family free!

Munir and his daughters were freed today and are now on their way back to their home village after ten years in slavery. Thank you so much for saving these girls from the trauma of daily exploitation and abuse. They and their father can now enjoy a life of safety and freedom.

URGENT HELP NEEDED - Girls at Risk
Ten years ago, Munir took a loan to pay for the medical care for his wife. Unfortunately she died and Munir and his two daughters have been trapped in slavery ever since. The girls (now 13 and 15) have started to suffer abuse at the kiln recently and we want to get them free as soon as possible.

For only $550 NZ we can buy this family their freedom and get them to safety. If you'd like to help, please follow this link to make a donation: freeslaves.org/munir-family-3-people-375-usd/ or send us a message.

A LONG ROAD TO FREEDOM
This couple have spent the last forty (40) years in slavery after taking a loan to pay for their two grown daughter’s weddings. In their old age, the labour at the brick kilns has been difficult and exhausting. Now they are finally free and they will go to live with one of their daughters. Many tears of gratitude were shed when this couple learned that their life of slavery was over.

Thank You FAIRFIELD SCHOOL!
Recently Geoff was invited to present the Freeslaves project to 100 students at Fairfield School in Dunedin as part of a learning unit. The children decided that they wanted to raise enough money to set a family free. The goal was $1000. The children did "horrible" jobs at home like carrying in firewood and picking up dog poo for donations. One child even gave $20 of their birthday money! They met their goal within weeks and we were able to set the Saleem family free!

Thank you Fairfield for your amazing effort!

Thanks everyone for all the amazing comments--it has been thrilling to see the kids get behind this family! I really hope it will leave a lasting impression on them. We skyped with the family on the day they were set free and it was really special. FRESH WATER!
One of the freeslaves.org teachers has been running a school in a village of 35 people which has not had easy access to water. He saw their need and came to us with a request for help. Some willing donors were moved by the situation and provided the funds to purchase three hand pumps for three villages. What an amazing gift of something so essential for life.

Can you spare $20 to take this family one step closer to freedom?

The Bashart Masih family has been in bonded-labor slavery for 25 years. More recently, the wife died during child birth, leaving the father to raise the children and work in the kilns alone.

The cost of their freedom is $1770 (NZD). If we can join together, we can get this family free in no time. Check out this page on our website to make a donation: freeslaves.org/bashart-masih-family/
