Refugee Support

Many Christian families have fled violence, persecution and the threat of death in Pakistan.  

There are many stories. Among the people we work with, one man fled Pakistan after he was shot twice and left to die in the street. Another young man watched as his father was shot through the head as they were leaving a prayer meeting at their church. The surviving family then fled to Thailand. One couple fled with their young child when a Christian cousin eloped with a Muslim girl and the whole extended family was told they would all be killed. Another man was unable to share his story–it was still too traumatic. No one wants to be a refugee. It is illegal for people seeking refugee status to work in Thailand and so in leaving Pakistan, these people have made themselves completely dependent on God working through His body to survive.

Freeslaves.org is currently helping a small community of Pakistani refugees in Thailand with basic support for food, accommodation and basic services. Any financial support you can provide to help these families while they wait for their refugee status to be approved would be seriously awesome and greatly appreciated.
